TWO ROADS TO TRAVEL
I am sure most of us have used our GPS device to get us to
where we want to go. However, have you
ever turned down an alternate street only to hear a voice say “recalculating?”
Hold that thought for a moment and let us consider two
roads to travel from the Word of God.
7:13-14: Enter ye in at the strait
gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction,
and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow
is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Clearly,
there are two roads to travel.
Many times we are going down the road of life and do not
stop to consider where we are headed. It
is so easy to get up each day and start with our routine, responsibilities,
stay busy, eat, take care of our households, then prepare for bed and start all
over the next day. Or…we could be stuck
in a rut.
Who are those that travel this broad road? “This
know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be
lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient
to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent
(without self control), fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors,
heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form
of godliness, but denying the power thereof (1 Timothy 3:1-5).” It Sounds like every day news! The Bible tells us that the fearful and
unbelieving are also on this road. There will be those who say they believe
in God, but have no personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Who is traveling on the narrow road? Answer:
Those people who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and
found Him to be the Way, The Truth and the Life. This road leads straight to Heaven. Can the travel on this road bring challenges
and detours? Yes, the Lord and the power
of His Word is always with us to keep us going in the right direction. On our travels we will experience love, joy,
peace and so much more. There is an
abundant life that cannot be measured by the standards of this world for it is
far superior. God not only gives His great
salvation, but His holiness and the ability to worship and praise Him. What a privilege to go straight to our
Heavenly Father in prayer and to be the recipient of our own GPS: God’s
Personal Salvation* system.
God’s love is greater,
deeper, wider and He never stops loving us.
His love is not based on what we do. His arms are always open wide to
receive us, no matter where we’ve been or what we
have done. We repent and receive Him.
It is all found in HIS GPS system*.
Do you need to do some “recalculating” today?
Dear Friend, if I could crawl off this page and see you face
to face, I would plead with you to know that you have a real and personal
relationship with The Lord Jesus Christ.
Pray for the salvation of loved ones.
Jesus will be calling us up very soon.
Are you ready? I trust you are
traveling with me on the precious, narrow road of life.
