SOMETHING TO CONSIDER

My friend, I want to
share with you that life is short. We
can become so busy with our daily schedules that we do not take time to think
about a relationship with a God who loves us with such amazing grace and mercy.
My purpose for living is
to help you know that Heaven and Hell are both real. Jesus, the holy and sinless Son of God, paid
the supreme price for sin by taking a horrible beating for us. He was crucified and shed His precious blood on an old rugged cross. He rose from the dead on the third day. That act made Jesus victorious and forever
The Conqueror over sin, death and Hell.
The purpose? To give all mankind
salvation and eternal life. No other
religion can claim that. What an act of
love! The gift of salvation was freely given to us. However, to receive this gift, we must repent
of our sins and give our whole heart to Jesus Christ, by faith. He becomes our
If we play with fire, we
will get burnt. The burn will leave a
scar. What is that fire? It is called sin. Sin always takes us farther
than we want to go, keeps us longer then we want to stay, and costs us more
than we want to pay.
As children of God, we
are called to a surrendered and holy life. We don’t hear much about holiness these
days. Jesus said, “Love not the world,
neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love
of the Father is not in him.” What is the
world? The lust of the flesh, the lust
of the eyes, and the pride of life.
My heart is heavy to say
this, have we become “cozy and comfortable” with/and in this world, that our heart isn’t surrendered to
God. Jesus said “… Knowing the time, that
now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our
salvation nearer than when we believed.” We are called to a
blessed life which requires us to die to
the flesh (our mind, will, and emotions) in order for the Holy Spirit, within
us, to have full control. We are no
longer our own, for we have been bought with a price. Only as we are surrendered will we become a
light and power to a world that is darkened with sin.
All choices have
consequences. What are you doing with Jesus?
Do you have a rather casual knowledge of Him? Do you love Him? Are you trusting Him? Or… have you decided you want nothing to do with Him. That last choice, my friend, will put you in
Hell where God does not want you to go.
Repentance is a gift
(from God) that causes us to turn around and go in the right direction.
Jesus told us that if we
love Him, we are to keep His commandments.
If we do not put His Word in our heart daily, we can become easily
deceived. He gave us Scripture for
direction, wisdom, and understanding on how to live in the “here and now” with peace and joy. God commands us to obedience.
Time is short. Make
choices today for eternity tomorrow.
