The Lord has been speaking to my heart, continually, to be ready, watchful and prepared. Ready for what, is the question.

If you have been a Christian for any length of time you have heard the teaching that Jesus is coming again.  There will be a time when we will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.  The Bible declares there is also coming a great and dreadful time when the people on the earth will have a season of tribulation such as man cannot comprehend and most do not want to consider. Following that will be a judgment time that must be faced by everyone who has not received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

If you stay tuned into studying the Word and Biblical studies, you will hear over and over again, to look for His coming as there are signs in Gods heavenly billboardthat the earth is getting ready for a mighty shifting and change.

You might say, Ive heard that for years but it wont happen in my life time.  My friend, please be careful and warned about your days here on this planet we call earth.  Sickness and accidents have a way of coming upon us like a sudden windstorm and there can be a moment when you are simply not readyto go out into eternity.

There is a wave of complacency within the body of Christ today.  Many go through the same everyday routine of work and schedule without a thought of God and His will.  The statistics of young people who believe in moral absolutes is frighteningly low. Moral decay has hit our country like an unwanted tornado. There are those who go to church out of a sense of duty, but their life has fallen into careless living and hardness of heart which can lull one into a false sense of security.

We are called to repent from our sin and turn to Jesus.  Repentance means to turn from the direction we are going and go toward God. Seek the LORD while he may be found, call upon him while he is near.*  God is Love, but friends He is a Holy God.

Am I seeking to install a fear tactic?  No precious friend.  Jesus is the answer for our life.  He is the ONLY One and Way whereby we receive salvation. He, alone, can change the heart.   Do you know the word salvation means to rescue?   That is what Jesus does.  He rescues us from our sin and selfishness and transports us into living as a new creation.  Then, and only then, can we be ready for whatever comes and whatever our present circumstance holds before us.  The hope of eternity carries us into a joy that only comes from knowing Christ as Savior.  It ushers us into a true thanksgiving.

Your purpose for living has a higher call on it.  If we are obedient to the Biblical command to be ready, it will carry us with a supernatural peace, love and joy.   When we spend time in the living book of knowledge, our Bible, The Author (God) is present,  speaking to us on every page.  He pours out His love, like liquid gentleness over our needy souls, to bring us into a higher plane of living.

When we have accepted Jesus as Lord, He desires to work through us to teach us how to be prepared in our life. To practice praise, thanksgiving and worship will lift our mind and soul to a higher level of living such as this life can never give.  It will chase away the anxieties of life, discouragement, depression and fears that want to overwhelm us and pull us into darkness.

If you are too busy to read and study your Bible, then as the saying goes, you are just too busy!

Arent we glad that the Lord uses imperfect people?  That is His mercy and love. If it were not so, I wouldnt be writing this. Jesus gives me the Word and I go to the computer and write it out. It is not me, but the Holy Spirit who lives within me and teaches me.  I want to share what He teaches me with others.

Be blessed with family and friends during the Thanksgiving holiday.

PS:  A word of praise and thanksgiving.  Through the power of Scriptures and prayer, with natural therapy, the Lord brought me out of  3 1/2 months of constant pain from a herniated back.  I am now pain free!
