CHOICES

It does not matter what our circumstances are or were, what type of background in which we were raised, what sins of the past or anything that has come against us. Each person has been given the will and opportunity to choose their destiny.

Every day we must choose how we should live for eternity. Could it be that we get up and start each day without giving a thought to our wonderful Creator and Savior? Could it be that we struggle and make decisions according to our own will and emotions then wonder why we are in the current dilemma?

I remember a little plaque I had on my wall as a child. It has alway stayed with me.

Said the robin to the sparrow

I would surely like to know
Why these anxious human beings
Rush about and worry so.
Said the sparrow to the robin
Surely it must be

That they have no heavenly father
Such as cares for you and me.

We must go back, again and again, to the tremendous price Jesus paid for our sins, past, present and future. Focus on the fact that God loves us with His unconditional love. He will never let go of us. It is in His heart to give us a peaceful life, “here and now,” and a glorious future in eternity with Him.

With God all things are possible!

As a Christian, we cannot live apart from the guidance of God in His precious Word, daily. My friend, one of the reasons why we have so much stress, doubt and confusion is because we do not daily trust Him for the cares of life. We simply cannot know God without being in His wonderful life-giving Word.

The bottom line is that if we do not know Jesus as Savior and Lord, we will not have an eternal life with Him. The wrong choice is destruction. I do not want any friend, reader or loved one to make a wrong choice in the matter of their eternal destiny. Choose Jesus who is Light, Life and Savior.

Remind yourself of the choice in Deuteronomy 30:19: “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”

Take a moment to stop and reflect where you are with the Lord and where you want to be. Determine that you will spend time with God every day. He longs for you to know Him. Set godly goals for your life and you will truly come to know the Lord and be set free. From my own personal experience, it is truly a wonderful life. Heartaches, challenges, sicknesses and hurt may come, but “From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I (Psalm 61:2).

The right choice = Jesus = The Word = Salvation = Deliverance = Heaven = Praise. It is all because of God’s amazing grace!

With Blessings,

Jan
