“WHOA!”  You say.  “That doesn’t sound to me like a wonderful nugget of Truth.”

Now that I have your attention, let us look into the Scripture to see if anger is allowed by God Almighty.  The anger I am talking about is not when one loses their temper or gets “mad” at someone and allows anything to fly out of the mouth at the moment or even worse – violence.  This is not about someone who needs to take advantage of an anger management class.

The New Testament Greek meaning of angry as in Ephesians 4:26 means ”provoked;  exasperated; justifiable abhorrence or indignation.”  In many instances in the Old Testament we read where God was angry, wroth, or displeased.  Here is our God, who is holy, compassionate, full of faithfulness, love, mercy and grace, and totally without sin – angry.  Why?  God was angry with the sin and the disobedient of his prophets and children.

We should be thankful that Almighty God is the perfect representation of Justice.

Because of Jehovah’s justice, He brought amazing grace for mankind.  Through one man, Adam, sin came into the human race. Through God’s perfect son, Jesus who came in the form of flesh, redemption came.  Jesus paid the price, once and for all, for the sin of the entire human race.  When we accept Jesus into our life – then He becomes our advocate, protector and gives us justice and authority over the devil who comes to kill, steal, and destroy. There can be no wrath on the child of God as he walks in obedience.

Have you come to a place where you say “enough is enough?”  Child of God are you sick and tired or being sick and tired?  Have you gotten so used to your illness that you have allowed it to be part of your life without going into a battle of faith for the healing that is yours to claim?  Are you enduring loss?  Perhaps loss of a marriage or loved one; loss of your self respect because of abuse which was not your fault; or loss brought on by your own addictions. Are you tired of the injustice in our schools and our society because of a minority voice that you know does not come from Truth.  Are you angry with the great losses we are experiencing in our great country because of sin and disobedience against principles and laws  of our founding fathers?   Have you had enough of financial loss and poverty in your own life because you never have enough finances to take care of even basic needs of your family?  Are you a parent who allows your children to go against every principle you stand for?  What about a schedule that keeps you so busy that you justify it when it leaves no time for you to pray, seek the Word of God or train your family in righteousness?  Are you stirred up about sin, cover-up and complacency in the church house? I will let you finish the list.

Finally, it is sad but true, many cling to church attendance and even faithfulness to a part of the church’s program.   Many Christians are not aware there is a spiritual battle of faith going on that  can only be won through an “absolute surrender” to the will and purpose of our Lord.  Some, sadly, do not understand that without the power of the Holy Spirit controlling us, we are not fit for the battle that rages for our destruction.  It is not enough to be a regular church-attendee.  Without this absolute truth and experience that is ours as a child of God, it is simply a work of the flesh. The Word says: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, Hosea 4:6

Maybe it is time for you to get angry with complacency and sin.  Remember the gentle Jesus who took the whip and drove out the money changers in His precious holy Temple?  Jesus did not use the whip on people but He was angered at the desecration and did something about it.

When is our enough, going to be enough; physically, spiritually, mentality, emotionally, until we are ready to do something about it.  So many are like the little proverbial frog in the tub of water.  The frog was so nice and cozy in its own little environment that it did not even move when the water became so hot that it killed him.

Let’s read this passage of Scripture carefully:  "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God." John 3:19-21.   Each one of us is in one of these two categories; children of light as Jesus is the Light of the World (a follower of Jesus with a relationship with him) or a child of darkness (full of selfishness and sin).  If we are a disciple of Jesus, than we are not our own as we have been bought by a price and the demand on our life is to glorify our Savior which means a death to self.  Jesus does not give us options.  His Word is very clear:  the flesh is an enemy to the Spirit.

Probably every Christian has a story of challenges.  I want to share my recent one with you, dear reader, which brought me to this place again. I rose in rightful anger to say “enough is enough.”

In May of this year, my husband was in the hospital for a little over two weeks.  Right in the middle of that situation, I caught my shoe heel on the threshold into my garage and found myself on crutches and then in a not-so-glamorous boot for a few weeks.  Upon his release from the hospital, it was clear to me that I was to become his 24/7 caregiver in all that it meant.  My first response was “I can do this!”  (Boot and all!) However, any who has been in this situation knows that there are days of stress and frustration even when we are willingly seeking to help.

Earlier, The Lord had laid on my heart to make a piano CD of praise music.  This endeavor had to be of the Lord because it was something I surely could not do on my own.  Well, on July 15th, I did another little “tipsee-doodle” and tripped over metal edging.  I went down on the concrete suffering a compound fracture to the side of my wrist and some crushed bones on the underneath that required surgery and a plate in my wrist.  ‘Not exactly the best scenario for a pianist.  Almost three months in casts and a brace I can tell you that the Lord healed this 74-year old wrist with complete mobility and no pain.  There is just a light scar to remind me of His great healing power!  Isn’t that a Praise-The-Lord!  All this and I was still caring for my husband 24/7.

The story continues:  I was told I needed to take a break and to my delight the arrangement came.  I was off to Ohio for a few days to visit with children and grandchildren and hopefully get some rest.  The next days after arrival, I was hit with a personal attack that sent me reeling.  I felt that someone took out my heart and stepped on it.  I arrived back home a few days later, more tired than when I left.  On the very evening of my arrival, in less than two hours, I landed in the Emergency Room with my blood pressure going off the chart. I guess stress and a heartache hit me like a bomb.  I was going to make two more trips to the ER.   Praise the Lord, I was given medicine that would ward off another such experience as well as a possible heart attack or stroke.  Being a firm believer in the natural remedies and more than that – supernatural healing,  I found my self battling this illness problem for about a month.

I sought forgiveness and surrendered every thing I could think of that would keep me in the will of God.  I continued to pray in faith.   Still, the blood pressure would not go back to normal. Then just days ago my dear friend invited me to go to a meeting to hear a godly teacher who make a statement about “getting angry” with sin and sickness.  It rang a bell with me, loud and clear, and I said “enough is enough.”  I intensified this battle of faith.  I can tell you as I write this that the last two days the blood pressure had continued to drop to normal levels!

I will be 75 on December 6th and I know the Lord is not finished with me.  The enemy has tried to take me out but I am going to see great victory in the future, as I have seen in the past.  I am surrendered to His will for whatever He wants me to do.  I know I must finish that CD and I know that I must declare His Word with boldness.

There are powerful promises in Scripture for our deliverance: 1) We are not to doubt but have faith in God:  (Hebrews 11:5; Mark 11:23). 2) We are to have courage and not fear: (2 Timothy 1:7).  3) We have been given authority and power over the enemy; (Luke 10:19; Phil. 1:28).   4) We are to rest in the work of the Holy Spirit within us and not ourselves: (John 6:63; John 15:7).  5) We are over comers: (Rev. 12:11; Romans 8:37).   6) Supernatural power is ours through the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:1, Romans 8:11, Acts 11:16).  7) The fruit of the Spirit is our blessing:  (Galatians 5:22). What hope we have for victory today and every day!

Here are two great promises:  Romans 4:17  ”...we calleth (we are to call) those things (in Scriptures) which be not as though they were.” And:  ” Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father:" (I declared this truth for the healing of my wrist!)  And: "whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:12-15.

Repentance is a great gift of God who is so full of mercy and love for each of us.  He is the author of new beginnings. Our guarantee of success is secured by the work of Jesus on the cross. We can break off any generational curse that binds us. We can be set free.

I trust something has been said in this Nugget of Truth that will spur you on to take a new step of faith in whatever you know the Lord would have you do. Some of us need to make changes.  Please, if you are living in a place where you know in your heart of hearts that change needs to be made, say “enough is enough; I will follow the Lord and I will be healed of . . .  ( whatever needs to be healed).”   Don’t put this off.  We are living in the last of the last days.  Jesus could come before you have hardly finished reading.  Make a decision for eternity without delay. Decide that whatever the cost, you will give everything over to the Lord.  Call upon Jesus and He will hear you and answer your prayer (Jeremiah 33:3).

I personalize and pray some of the following Scriptures constantly:

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.: Proverbs 3:5-6

"Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee." Psalms 143:8

"Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of  uprightness." Psalms 143:10

"My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." Proverbs 4:20-23

"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name." Hebrews 13:15

My favorite: "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:" Ephesians 1:17-21

Remember:  Scripture is God’s Word in Life and Power.  It is a supernatural revelation of God Himself. His Word is true and never fails. Speak it aloud.

A helpful hint:  I took the above Scriptures plus other of my favorites and printed them out on 5 x7 sheets and had them laminated so they are always available for reference and prayer.

You may be one who prayed for me during these trials.  If so, I thank you so very much.

Will blessings and love,
