The Ultimate Gift

(That Keeps on Giving)

You have probably heard this phrase, “The gift that keeps on giving!”  It is usually speaks to the area of merchandising. Allow me to present another scenario:  I arrive at your door and knock. When you open the door, I say “I have been sent as a special courier from one of your dearest friends who wants to present you with this gift.”  I am sure you would quickly receive the gift and, with excitement, open it and look at the contents within.

I am presenting to you the “The Ultimate Gift”a, that for all eternity keeps on giving. This is some gift!  It is a gift that continues to give and bless. It is not only for eternity, but sustains us on a daily basis.  You have a dear friend, God Almighty, who loves you so much,b that He sent His perfect son, Jesus Christ, in the form of human man, to take your place and mine on a cruel cross for salvation.  Jesus Christ, as the Sinless One, offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for all mankind.  The blood He shed was priceless and bought our redemption.

His precious Word declares that we are all sinners,c without hope on our own, to inherit eternal life.  Furthermore, we learn that all men have come short of the Glory of God.  What a powerful truth that majestic God, Creator of our Universe, longs to give us the opportunity to have a personal relationship with Him when we receive salvation. It does not get any better than that! Not only that, but we are given His very presence of life within us in the here and now plus a successful and fruitful life in Him while on this earth all because we accepted His gift.  What a marvelous exchange! Truly it is a gift continues to give.

We cannot earn or merit this gift, no matter how hard we try.  We can seek to be religiousd and a good person, but we can never make the grade, no matter how good we seek to be.  By the same token, we may have hit rock bottom in our life and feel that God would never forgive our terrible sins.  Not true!  The Lord Jesus loves everyone unconditionally and came to save to the uttermost, all those who are willing to call upon him, repent of their sinse, and accept Jesus as Lord of their life.  Scriptures teach us that it is preceded by a repentant heart.   No sin is too hard for God.

It is so simple, if we will confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved,f  Almost too-good-to-be true news!

I want to give a warning here: please check your decision. There are those who have made “decisions” without a heart-felt desire to change and do whatever the Lord wants.  The result was no change in the personal and daily life.  Clearly, transformation must take placeg.  It is said, that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature, old things have passed away and all things have become new g. Why?  Because, a supernatural transaction has taken place.  There are those who might make a decision for the wrong reasons.  They see it as a “ticket” from going to Hell and therefore there is not a sincere desire to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord.  Sometimes, a person may feel pressure to “get saved” and make a decision to “get them off their back” so to speak.   One of the biggest hindrances is indifference.  There are various reasons for decisions without commitment.

My dear friends, Heavenh is a real and wonderful place where Christians will spend all eternity in the presence of our awesome God. What a hope! Helli is also a real.  It is a tormenting place and a horrible way to spend all eternity where there is no hope of peace.  The Lord did not create Hell for mankind but for Satan and His demons.  However, God Almighty is a true and just God and cannot go against His Wordj. He does not want mankind to suffer separation from Him. However, God is Justice personified and His Word true.  Always, it is man’s choice for the destiny he or she will take.

If you need to trust the Lord, please pray this simple prayer in faith believing:

Dear Lord Jesus; I believe that you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins.  You  were buried and rose again.  I confess and repent of my sins.  Forgive me, cleanse me, and create a new heart and life in me.  I receive you now as Savior and Lord of my life.  Thank you for this gift of salvation and eternal life. Fill me with your Spirit. I pray this in the precious name of Jesus Christ. (1 John 5:11-13)

If you prayed this prayer, please email at janlowens@verizon.net and I will send you a free gift.

Perhaps you have already received this Ultimate Gift, but you know someone that you have a heart-felt concern for their soulk. Maybe this testimony will encourage you to share it with the loved one who needs to know Jesus.

Please listen to the short audio message that is attached.

I personally want to give the Lord praise for reaching down and saving me; and then giving me His wonderful Spirit within to teach me and help me to grow In Him. I am looking forward to my heavenly home.

With blessings to all my readers,
